Avon Lake Municipal Utilities and the City of Avon Lake will hold two community meetings to discuss what the utility and the city are doing, and what residents can do, to avoid basement flooding.
This year’s intense rains have caused the storm water from private property to overload the sanitary sewer. The meetings will give residents the opportunity to discuss the issues with City and Utility leaders, and what each party is doing and can be done to respond to the changing weather patterns that have exacerbated the problem.
Two meetings are being offered to provide residents with the opportunity of attending on a convenient day and location (November 16 at Learwood Gymnasium and November 17 at Troy Gymnasium, from 7PM to 9PM).
Residents are encouraged to submit questions beforehand to contact@avonlakewater.org. Together, we can significantly reduce the chances for basement flooding.
