Curtis Rehabilitation Project
Avon Lake Regional Water began the Curtis Rehabilitation Project in May 2018. It entails upgrades to the water line, sanitary sewer, storm laterals to properties that did not previously have them, fire hydrants, tree lawn restoration, and road restoration. These upgrades will greatly reduce the possibility of breaks to the system, the amount of storm water runoff entering the sanitary sewer, and the amount of untreated wastewater discharged to Lake Erie during rain events. The project is expected to last six months.
As of November 2018, the project is 98% complete. Final cleanup will occur in spring 2019.
