ABOUT THE EVENT
This all-day celebration of Lake Erie aims to help families connect with our Great Lake through recreation, art, and edutainment. Participating organizations will offer activities and ideas to inspire interaction with Lake Erie and our other natural resources while helping attendees understand the importance of (and how to minimize) their own environmental impact.
YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN TENT, TABLE AND/OR CHAIRS. Other requirements:
- Provide a family-friendly activity from noon until 5 p.m.
- Make sure you are not driving through the site between 11:00 a.m. and noon to ensure child safety during kids race (11-11:30 a.m.).
- This is a zero-waste event. Keep paper/waste to a minimum. Trash and recycling receptacles will be available to you.
Participant spaces are approximately 10 ft. x 10 ft., unless otherwise requested. (Please describe on opposite page.) Participants are responsible for their own activity/display/tables. Please limit distribution of your materials to your space.
There is no fee for non-profit organizations providing activities. There is a charge of $50 per food vendor (OR 10% of profits) to be received to reserve your place at the event. Payments should be made payable to Friends of the Parks Avon Lake. Checks should be mailed to Avon Lake Regional Water, 201 Miller Road, Avon Lake, Ohio, 44012. Payments can also be dropped off 24/7 in either of our two depository boxes (located beside our front door and drive-through window at that address).
SET-UP AND REMOVAL
Vendors will receive an event map indicating their space. Set up begins at 10 a.m. Please be on time; any vehicles not included in your display must be moved to the participant parking lot (across the street and just east of the park) at 11 a.m. Tear down begins promptly at 5 p.m.
The festival will take place rain or shine and will only be canceled in the event of a severe storm, lightning or very high winds. There will be no refunds.
