Utilicon completes the final run on Inwood, Dellwood and Bellaire
The contractors Utilicon Corp. and TT Technologies completed the four-way connection from Inwood, Dellwood and Bellaire to Redwood Blvd. The last 168 feet of the project’s 1.2 miles of seamless pipe was installed Oct. 21. It will take about another ten days to finish the work of connecting sanitary sewer laterals, repairing sidewalks, driveways, and other affected property. Tree lawn restoration and road repairs will begin shortly thereafter.
All roads, however, will remain closed while crews install home laterals, run dye tests, and restore the site. The detour route for residential, school bus, and emergency traffic will be Redwood Boulevard to Moorewood Avenue, and south to Durrell Avenue.
Concerns relating to traffic and construction should be directed to Avon Lake Municipal Utilities at 933-6226 on workdays or 933-3229 on weekends and holidays. Those relating to road repair damages should be directed to the City Engineering Department at 933-6141.
